Facebook and Apple Threatens Internet Freedom

In an interview with the Guardian, the founder of Google, Sergey Brin warned that Internet freedom is under threat of force, including Facebook and Apple.

"There is great power that stands against the freedom of the internet on all sides in the world. I'm more worried now than in the past. It's scary," she said as quoted from page Cnet.com.

She identified a serious threat to the openness of the Internet because of the repressive attitude of the government trying to control Internet access. Another disorder is suspected of a crackdown on piracy in the entertainment industry and the internet world "wall garden" that strictly controls the content and applications on a platform, such as mobile devices.

He said Facebook and Apple hamper innovation and risk breaking website. According to Brin, Google will never exist if Facebook is still dominant.

"You have to play by those rules actually limit. Type of environment that we developed in Google is the reason we were able to develop a search engine, because the site was open. Regulation of the lot would only hinder innovation," said Brin.

Google + into Google's main business in social networking as a long way to catch the movement up the number of users who have four times as much. Facebook can also take advantage of momentum with the purchase of photo-sharing application Instagram recently.

Apple with its exclusive approach to the most valuable companies in the world. The company became a major competitor Google in the Smartphone arena and tablets as another important region for the success of Google's business.

She also complained about Facebook that makes it difficult for users to move their data to another service, such as the Google +. "Facebook has sucked Gmail contacts for years," he complained.

Brin's comments on its main competitors may be the beginning of the growing war of words in the struggle for the throne and the technology giant web. Google is also going to continue our dominance as a competitive search engine.

According to Web inventor, Tim Berners-Lee, the dangers that can occur when one of the social networking sites, search engines, or a browser becomes too large. This dominance tends to limit innovation.

"As has been the case since the web started, continue to check the roots of innovation and regulatory best balance against one company or government that tries to undermine the universality," Berners-Lee explained.

Of course, the assessment of her stores some personal interest in his refusal. He wants to make all information in the Facebook and Apple applications can be opened to access the search engine Google. A more open web is very good for the world, but also profitable for Google.
